Developed brand identity including colour palette, typography, and mood direction. Produced presentation decks communicating design concepts to stakeholders.

Duringtheresearchonthetarget,werealizedthatwemusttakeintoaccounttwotargetgroups:specialistsinthemedicalfieldandpeoplewhoarereadytoparticipateinmedicalresearch.Thebrandhadtobroadcastprofessionalismandconservatismwhilebeingfriendlyandopen.Collaborationwiththeclient
includedrebranding,creatingbrandguidelinesandillustrations,doingwebdesignwork,andpreparingourdesignsforprint.

(The Solution)

Thebirdlogorepresentslightnessandflexibility,speedreadinessforchange.Atthesametime,it’satributetoourbrand’spast:beforeexpandingandgrowing,ourclienthadthenameSwift.Wedecidedtoemphasizelightnesswiththehelpofagradient:it’scolorsresemblethesoftshadesoftheskyatdawnandemphasizetheelusivenessofthebird’smovements.Ourlogowasn’tloud,fragileandsimple.

Thebirdlogorepresentslightnessandflexibility,speedreadinessforchange.Atthesametime,it’satributetoourbrand’spast:beforeexpandingandgrowing,ourclienthadthenameSwift.Wedecidedtoemphasizelightnesswiththehelpofagradient:it’scolorsresemblethesoftshadesoftheskyatdawnandemphasizetheelusivenessofthebird’smovements.Ourlogowasn’tloud,fragileandsimple.

Thecolorsremindedmeofthesoftpaletteoftheskyatdawnandthebeautyofthenaturalhabitatofourbird.Icreatedvariouscolourpalettestoemphasizethismood,andtoshowtheteamsowecanpickthebestoptionfortheidentity.

(Design Elements)

Oncewedecidedonthelogoandimage,everythingelsewasrelativelyeasy.Forexample,thechoiceoffontswasneutral,friendly,grotesqueforthelogo,andclassicantiqueforthetypeface.Throughouttheproject,wegenerallytriedtopreservetwomoods:friendlinessandsoftnessandclassicismandprofessionalism.Forthebrand,wecreatedsimpleillustrationsthatlooklikequicksketches.Inouropinion,thisalsoemphasizeslightnessandfriendlinessintheidentity.

Oncewedecidedonthelogoandimage,everythingelsewasrelativelyeasy.Forexample,thechoiceoffontswasneutral,friendly,grotesqueforthelogo,andclassicantiqueforthetypeface.Throughouttheproject,wegenerallytriedtopreservetwomoods:friendlinessandsoftnessandclassicismandprofessionalism.Forthebrand,wecreatedsimpleillustrationsthatlooklikequicksketches.Inouropinion,thisalsoemphasizeslightnessandfriendlinessintheidentity.
